66 days without sickness

And then: sore throat. Congestion. Energy drain.

Since I’ve been using a spreadsheet to track my life this year, I actually know that it’s been 66 days since I last felt sick. Fascinating! But also shitty, because I used to go YEARS without feeling sick. I remember feeling smug and vaguely invincible when “bugs were going around” town and these hapless humans around me fell victim to sniffles and cough drops.

I seem to remember drinking more and exercising less in those days too.

How the mighty have fallen.

Now that that bit of melodrama is out of my system, the silver lining: if I’m trapped at home with not much to do but rest for the next few days, that can lend itself to productivity for writing stuff, as doing so is a pretty low-energy event. I’ve recently been building a couple super-posts for the Self Pub Hub, and they’re near done pending some imagery supplement and a little polish. We shall see.
