750 words today, wrote a scene in HUNTING MIDNIGHT. It was a rewrite of something that had started life as three exposition heavy paragraphs, so I quickened it with a lot more dialogue and think I solved the micro issue. The overall shape of the episode still threatens to bog me down though.

So I went off book and wrote a 1,000 word short for reddit! My second ever response to a writing prompt, wahoo! It was a good bit of fun, and flowed nicely even though it was almost 100% “pantsing.” Maybe it’s easier to do that with flash fiction? Anyway, I don’t really count the 1,000 words toward the master word count since they’re not stuff that will end up in shipment, but it was therapeutic and potentially beneficial in the long run.
