Streak snapped!

950 new words, in the fourth installment (technically third episode) of HUNTING MIDNIGHT! I enjoyed the way it evolved and flowed, despite ignoring my own instinct to spend some time on character sketching. That still needs to be done in order to help manage the arcs I need to deliver, but for the opener the established dynamics of each character helped me drive the scene without much worry. That’s a wonderful sign… when the people in the story start to half-write it for you 🙂

Also, despite the week of not writing new material I’m still ‘ahead’ of a monthly target of 20,000 words/month. There’s a little chart that Critique Circle provides to help visualize:

As long as the blue line stays above the red, then I’m (on average) meeting the daily volume goal. Better keep at it, heh.
