Favours

Didn’t write today and missed the gym. Uh oh! What’s the excuse?

Well, a friend really wanted me to participate in a biweekly board games night (that I’ve attended many a time, with regulairty). I love it, but I was ready to sacrifice it for a productive evening. The rubber arm was twisted, but I did manage to broker a deal: if I show up, she owes me a favour in the future, one that will be related to helping this mission of self publishing. A worthy investment? Well, in addition to the trade, I had an awesome time and possibly recruited a beta reader while there so I’d day that ticks off a non-zero day pretty handily.

Also, the first few scenes of HUNTING MIDNIGHT were exposed to the critters at CC today. There was one response and it was helpful and very positive. The confidence and the energy such feedback gives is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Delighting people with stories is as magical as the worlds between the pages.

This is why we do it!
