Did better today! Up by 9:30am. 11:30am now and haven’t done a tone of work, but I did do some errands and am ready to start rocking and rolling. Putting time into some ops right now, figuring out processes and how to track things so that I can sustain this writing thing as a legit self-directed part time job. I’m seeking a good balance of discipline and flexibility: what is the operational equivalent of ‘plan loosely?’

This blog is daily, but I like to think in units of months, and evaluate the weeks as they go. This keeps me from having meltdowns on a daily basis and allows for a whole week to be terribly unproductive without being discouraged. On the other hand, it instills a sense of progress and forces sacrifice when needed.
Once I find a rhythm that works for me, I’ll share the particulars.

Procrastinated a bit today, as I have some rewriting and tearing about to do with CHILDSEEKER. I know there’s something wrong with how it opens (takes too long to get to the true “start” of the story), and my brain simply doesn’t want to dig into it right now.

4pm now, and did “errands” instead. Namely, going to the gym and getting a haircut. May hang with a buddy tonight. Let’s see if I can get some stuff done before any of that kicks in.
