Fate intervenes

So I didn’t do much after coming back from the gym yesterday because I spent a chunk of the afternoon trying to catch a flight out to Montreal, with no luck.

Long story short, my whole trip to Osheaga got gooned.

That returns the entire weekend to me… a sign perhaps, given the timing of all this writing inspiration. My brain is fried right now because it’s 12:40am. I’ve been up since 6am, spent a ton of time in the airport, but most of the day writing (some writing even happened in the airport! Huzzah).

I finished the first draft of the first part of MIDNIGHT HANDS.

26,000 words total.

8,500 of them in the last 24 hours. I wasn’t tracking hours accurately amid all the Osheaga chaos, communication, and cancellation… so the hours is an estimate. The bulk of it happened in the last 12 hours. The thought is if I’m going miss out on the festival, I damn well better make good use of the time. I think I succeeded.
